ABOUT ME
My name is Nancy Reyes, and I am the proud owner of Sahaaya Therapy and Wellness Services. With nearly two decades of experience as a mental health practitioner, I have dedicated my career to providing a safe space for self-discovery through individual therapy, support groups, educational workshops, and wellness events.
My Background
As a daughter of Indian immigrants, I've experienced firsthand the internal conflicts that many of us from varying cultures feel while navigating life as “first-gen” or “second-gen” children. This unique perspective enables me to empathize deeply with my clients and address the nuanced challenges that come with such experiences. I understand the guilt and shame that is placed on us when we try to find our voice and carve our own life path. I know the feeling of “not being good enough” that comes with balancing career and relationships.
Additionally, I am a working mom, which has given me valuable insights into the challenges of adjusting to motherhood. I strive to find joy in this journey while also maintaining a sense of my own self. This understanding informs my approach to therapy, particularly in helping mothers balance their identities and well-being.
My Goals and Philosophy
My primary goal is to provide a trustworthy and connected therapeutic environment. I believe that building trust and connection is fundamental to enhancing the therapeutic process. At Sahaaya Therapy and Wellness Services, we embody the philosophy of non-judgment in our approach, providing a safe space for individuals to rediscover themselves on their healing journey.
